19-06-25 Beautiful Pingo has come to us in search of her forever home. She’s an absolutely stunning British Shorthair cross who, through no fault of her own, has found herself looking for a new beginning.

Right now, Pingo is feeling quite overwhelmed by all the changes in her world and prefers the safety of her bed and will spend her day hiding away, only venturing out when nobody is around. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, we’re hopeful that her gentle personality will begin to shine through.

Pingo will allow a soft fuss on her head if you go slowly, though she’s still very unsure about this and can be a little spicy. If you go to stroke her body or handle her, she will hiss and scratch to let you know that this something that she isn't yet comfortable with. What she needs most is someone who can give her the space and time to build trust at her own pace. She may never turn into a lap cat or a cat that enjoys fuss and attention, but we believe in the right home she will start to thrive.

Her ideal home will be quiet and peaceful, with a patient adopter who understands that they will need to give her space and let her come around on her own terms. Pingo would like to remain an indoor-only cat, though she would enjoy access to a secure catio if possible.

At the time of Pingo's spay, she was diagnosed with a uterine infection known as pyometra. The condition was treated during her spay surgery, and she is not expected to develop further uterine infections, as the uterus has been removed.
